Patients fail to attend booked appointments
Posted on 21 Apr 2015
PLEASE HELP US!
During March 2015 the GP's offered 3715 appointments for patients to book into.
You would think this would be enough to meet patient demand, and it would be; but 243 patients booked appointments and then did not attend them!
This equates to 2 full weeks of a GP's time being here but not seeing anyone and causes frustrated GP's, anxious staff unable to fit patients in because the slots have already gone and annoyed patients who can't get appointments.) Maybe you wanted one of these appointments?
69 patients have been sent letters to say that they have missed two appointments and the next time they may be asked to leave the Health Centre and find another GP.
All we ask is that you let us know at least 1 hour in advance of the time if you are unable to use the appointment you have booked - this will give another patient the chance of being seen.
